A New Year + A Wishlist

Posted by Tom on December 31, 2010

A new year will soon be upon us. 2010 is over, enter 2011. I’ve got a lot to look forward¬† in 2011, whether it’s school or real life. I sort want to start up with a wish list I’ve been having in my head. These are only up to the most recently announced Gunpla. Also, I know I could buy these online but recently I’ve been buying alot of my Gunpla from my local hobby shops. So if it sounds like I’m waiting until I found them, there’s your reason.

Warning: Long post ahead.

Posted by Tom on December 31, 2010

As the title implies, I’ve finished the Inner Frame (well what I could make without putting on the armor parts).

Real Grade Gundam WIP 2: Weapons

Posted by Tom on December 30, 2010

Finished snapping together the weapons before lunch, but the decaling took a little over an hour… >.> I decided to only do the wing decals on the Core Fighter, since the other decals were sooo tiny!

The stickers are worth noting in that they have a flat look to them, instead of the somewhat glossy clear stickers we used to get. I’m guessing that’s why all the new clear stickers have a blue backing instead of a yellow one.

Thought I do another review before the year is over. This time it is the High Grade After War Gundam X. This isn’t the one with the Divider weapons system, but the original one with the Satellite Cannon.

You can go here, or go to the new High Grade tab I just made.

Late Christmas/Early Birthday stuff

Posted by Tom on December 27, 2010

Something for myself as a Christmas/ early birthday present. Master Grade 00 Quanta, HG 00 Raiser Condenser Type, Tamiya Flat Yellow (my old Model Master yellow went bad…) and some filing sticks. All costing me a wallet breaking $125 D=…

Actually, I did some calculations using HLJ, and surprisingly, had HLJ not had their permanent 20% off for Bandai idems, I would have paid about the same amount. O_O
Go figure.

More Gunpla news of December

Posted by Tom on December 27, 2010

I guess this is a “big” announcement from this month, the Master Grade Shenlong Gundam EW a.k.a Shenlong Gundam Ver Ka. I’m pretty “meh” about it, but all you Gundam Wing fans must be pretty excited.

MG RX-78-2 Gundam ver OYW Finished

Posted by Tom on December 21, 2010

After some delay, I finished topcoating this model this afternoon. It could have been done quicker, but weather and school, along with getting college stuff done, kept getting in the way.
